We got invited by some friends to have a sushi night. We have never made our own sushi before so we were excited to try this out. I've never been quite a fan of sushi or fish in general, but this last year I have really surprised myself in how brave I have become at trying new things & actually enjoying it. :)
Doug, Matt & Bubba
The boys were getting crazy & trying to come up with weird rolls. This one was tuna with cheetos. Yuck!
Kim getting her roll on
Much more appetizing huh? Tempura shrimp, cucumber, mango & cream cheese. Soooo good!
Nicole, Me, Kim & baby Jack
The kids having a tea party. So stinking cute!
Watching a movie. It was a later night then we usually have, but the boys did great & had so much fun playing with these girls!
Kim & Bubba are moving back to Utah so we had a little goodbye get together at the beach. It was fun letting the kids run around while us grown up got to chat & hang out.
The ladies. You'll sure be missed Kim & Bubba & Jack.
I know it's September already, but let me tell you, it has NOT cooled down at all!!! It is still 100% summer in my opinion. But the evenings are starting to slowly calm down. Joselyn & James invited us over for dinner & afterwards we enjoyed our dessert in their back yard.
Yep, that's right. This is their back yard. How amazing is that?! Such a pretty view to be right on the water. I think that helped in feeling cooler too. How cute are these two? Liam & Everette are just 3 months a part. Sure love these cuties. And they love their popsicles!
But not as much as I love these cookie dough brownies! Holy rich, chocolatey, gooey goodness... get in my belly.
These two are absolutely darling. I couldn't decide which picture to post & then looking at all of them I couldn't resist posting how they were drawn closer to each other over each 'snap'. And only with a small amount of guidance to do so.
"Not too sure about this Mom."
Now Ella isn't too sure if this is allowed by her father. And Gavin is cautious, but liking it. :)
And...making his move! I think it's safe to say it was well received by miss Ella. I even saw her later touching her cheek & whispering something about the kiss to herself. I think she's watched a few princess movies to know that a kiss from a boy is special indeed. :)
Now these two have a different kind of relationship. Liam loves animals! A little too much if I say so. I joke around that he reminds me of the character Lenny from Of Mice & Men. He would follow this little, tiny kitten around & say, "Kitty, kitty!" Then, we would hear the kitty meowing, but not in a good way & sure enough there was Liam holding it by it's tail in the air. OH MY GOSH! I felt so bad for the little kitten, but couldn't help but giggle just a little. Soon the kitty learned to stay clear from Liam. Smart kitty!
When it came time to say goodbye Liam just had to say goodbye to Penny & this is where we found them. He was trying his hardest to lean in & kiss the kitten on the head. So sweet!
Liam also loves babies. One of his favorites is cute little Evelyn Trockel. When ever he sees her he goes right to her, squats down & says, "Baaabyyy! Hold it." Well her mother is nice enough to let Liam hold her now & then & he loves it. This is a quick pic I got at church one Sunday. Super cute!
