Birthday Preparations

This big boy is about to have a birthday. We have lots of fun things planned to celebrate & he is at the perfect age to be my little helper. It made prepping his birthday so much fun having him be by my side. Not in all things, as I want a lot to be a surprise, but for his school favors & party favors he couldn't have been more thrilled to help out.

We decided to make some Ninja Turtle Playdoh for his classmates. I was given the best recipe for playdoh by a friend & was so happy with how it turned out. Click HERE for the recipe.

Using his muscles to stir, stir, stir.

Having fun rolling & kneading the doh.

But having more fun playing with it!

The colors turned out perfect. Each color represents the 4 Turtles. Blue = Leonardo Purple = Donatello Orange = Michelangelo Red = Raphael

The finished product

And then it was on to making some Mutagen Ooze for his TMNT party. I made one batch by myself just to make sure it would work. I'll tell ya I almost lost it a couple times mixing this up. Soooo gross! Not only does it look like snot, it felt like it.Yuck!

But when Gavin saw it & started helping with the next batch, he didn't find it gross. He thought it was the coolest thing ever!

And once it smoothed out it was pretty cool indeed. And I didn't mind touching it & playing with it either. :)

We had lots of shopping to do to prep for things & I turned around to him saying, "Look Mom! I'm food!". Such a silly boy.

And we couldn't resist stopping by the Halloween section to goof off & try on some foam wigs.
