Work & Play

Weekends here are hard. All we ever want to do is play. But being a home owner there are responabilities that cannot be ignored. Like yard work. *sigh* Not that I really ever have to do it, it's all Doug, but it does put a cramp in our wanting to just play, play, play. So we usually try to get our work done either in the morning or afternoon so we can still squeeze in some family fun.

Despicable Me 2 came out & we just had to take the kids. Our friends the Graff's joined us & it was fun. It was pretty cute. Not as good as the first one, but still full of laughs.

Tyn & Gavin were both sporting their yellow in honor of the Minions.

So grateful for popcorn. It's what keeps their attention & bums glued to the chairs. Haha!

After the movie & naps it was time to get to work. Gavin wouldn't take a nap so he was sent outside to help his Dad. I guess he had to be just like Dad cuz he took his shirt off in the process. So stinking cute!

That night after all the work was done we got to play some more with our friends the Rhodes. They joined us for a little BBQ & play. Gavin was SOOO excited to see Owen. It had been about a month with both our family vacations over lapping. 

By far my favorite picture ever! These are some awesome Super Heroes. I can't get over Colette's face. It's like she's thinking, "Ok, I guess I can hang with the boys cuz there aren't any princess clothes around." Haha!

Dinner outside was nice, but a little warm. Perfect time to bust out the new wiggly sprinkler toy for the kiddos. They had a ball playing with it.

And why play with the water table when you can sit in it?!

Sunday night we had the Graff's over for dinner & finished the night off with ice cream & dancing.

Liam was totally zoned out & into his ice cream cone. :)
