Visitor & Bachelor Finale

On March 11th, our friend from Buffalo, Wayne Dobbins came in town for a few days. He was here to check out the Orthodontic program at Nova as he is about to start the application process for specialty schools. Oh how I don't envy him one bit. That was such a headache when we did all that. Ugh. It was fun having him visit & catching up. Gavin was in heaven. He sure does love Wayne. The boys would not leave him alone. :) That first night after Doug & Wayne returned from school we hit the beach for a little picnic. We couldn't let Wayne come all the way down here & not see the ocean.

 I was told specifically by Gavin that I was not allowed in the picture because I had to take it. Well thank you very much Mr. Gavin, I didn't want to be in it anyways. haha!

~Bachelor Finale~
Monday night I had some girls over to watch the Bachelor Finale with me. I really didn't care for either girl, but thought that he would pick Lindsey for sure. Boy was I surprised when he picked Catherine. :)

Now let's be honest, you can't watch bachelor with a bunch of girls without munching on some yummy treats.

{P-nut butter & chocolate popcorn, rose sugar cookies, berry-brownie tartlets & creamy bacon dip}
YuM! I'm wanting all of this now just looking at it again.

Oh yes, we are dorks! This night turned into being one of the funniest/giggly/hyper nights I've had in a long time. haha!

So fun having something to look forward to every Monday night. I'm sad it came to an end. Can't wait for May to get here & we can start the real trash...Bachelor Pad. Haha!

~Banana Splits~
My mom had given me long ago some banana split dishes/boats & I have never used them. So the night before Wayne left I decided we should have an ice cream sundae bar.

We had almonds, peanuts, heath bar, oreos, mini chocolate chips, marshmallows, sprinkles, bananas & whip cream.

This was a first for Gavin & I let him put all the toppings of his choice on his sundae.

Boy was this kid in heaven!

There's nothing like creating your very own banana split to bring a smile of "yummy" to one's face - Good job Gavin.

Stop it with the food already! I'm feeling so sorry for my mouth. What a fun thing to have, those banana split dishes! And your Bachelor finale night looked like a blast. I'm with you... I was shocked he didn't pick Lindsey!!
