I really do hate goodbyes. I do not like making a good friend & then having to say goodbye to them. It is very hard on my soul. Holly Rudd & I became friends rather quickly I'd say. We had a mutual friend in common from dental school so that is what gave us common ground, but the first night I met her & we were tagged as 'Utah girls', I knew we were off to a good start. Haha! Her husband was also in the same Orthodontic program as Doug, just 2 classes ahead. She was my very first hair appointment down here in Florida & we all know that when you sit in a stylist's chair you talk, talk & talk. That's when I found out she had a gym membership & she helped me convince Doug that I too should have one so we could help each other with our workouts & goals. So we went to the gym every morning at 6:00 AM. This girl is a powerhouse & she kicked my butt in gear real fast. Haha! There is something about working out with someone that really connects & bring you two together. Maybe it was the no make up, tired eyes, sweat dripping face, hard to breath moments that you just can't care about them seeing. Whatever it was I cherish it. We pushed each other to new levels all the while having so much fun together. So even though we only had 6 months to start & build our friendship I know it's one that will last.
We had to have one last hoorah before she left so a few of us went out to see Twilight & get some food from Chili's. It was a really fun night!
{Me, Rozannah, Ceri, Emily & Holly}
The week before Holly took off she asked me to go run with her one last time along the beach. How could I resist?! So we met up one final time at 6:00AM & got our run on.
It was so peaceful & calm running that early & listening to the
waves crash. It has been one of my favorite memories to date since being
here in Florida. I sure love & miss this girl! And guess where she & her family are off too? That's right New Mexico. That state is taking in all of my dear friends. Maybe we should go there....Just sayin. :)
