SeaQuarium

So there is this Summer Savings Pass here where you pay one fee & then you get admission to 4 different parks all summer long. So just by going to 2 parks the pass has paid for itself. So we decided to go check out the Seaquarium in Miami.

When we first walked into the park they were letting people hold the parrots. This was my first time ever holding a bird. Man were their claws sharp! Gavin was a little concerned about what was going on, but also thought it was pretty cool. As did I!

It was so cute watching Gavin & G'pa watch the dolphins in the tank. Every time one would swim by real close, Gavin would jump back & grab G'pa real tight. :)

The park had a lot of shows & we got there at just right time to catch all of them. The first we saw was Flipper & Friends.

I was in awe over how smart these dolphins are. They are so beautiful to watch!

I couldn't believe how high Flipper could jump too. Pretty cool!

It was a scorcher of a day so what better way to cool off then by having tasty pina colada shaved ice? Isn't my mom cute?

We also watched the Sea Lion Show. There is something so comical about these guys. It was a pretty funny show.

Liam pooped out somewhere along the way. I have to laugh at how similar he & Gavin are. Check out that foot propped up. Here is a picture of Gavin at the same age doing the exact same thing.
It's even the same foot for crying out loud. So cute!

We walked around the park checking out more of the animals. Gavin loves alligators & crocodiles. When my dad was in town back in May we went to a gator show in the everglades. So he & Gavin decided to practice their holding skills on this gator.

 Look Ma! No hands.

The final show we watched was the Killer Whale. As cool as it was to watch how big of waves he could make & how high he could jump, it was actually really sad. That animal is huge & look at how small of a tank he has to live in. And that's it. We asked if he had more water access somewhere & he does not. He has lived in this tank for like 40 years. It just isn't right to confine such a large animal.

He sure is a beautiful creature though. We had a great time & will definitely be going back.
