With our Summer Savings Pass we took a Saturday to drive an hour to West Palm Beach to go to the Lion Country Safari. We had no idea what to expect & we ended up having a great time.
When you first arrive they just give you a CD that has narrating that
you can listen to while you stay in your car & drive through the
safari. It was a much nicer way to see animals versus walking around in
the hot heat. There were a ton of animals out & about too. And there
are no fences to keep the animals from walking right up to your car. So
we got a good look at some of these guys.
There were so many lions (which were fenced in btw). But of course they were all just laying around & sleeping.
The zebras were my favorite. There was a massive heard of these guys. Kind of cool to see them all in an open space like you would in the wild.
Do you see what I see? We were laughing so hard like immature boys in junior high. Ha ha!
After the drive you park & get to go walk around a more zoo like area to see more animals.
Gavin really liked the pink flamingos.
He thought the HUGE sssssnake was pretty awesome too!
But nothing was better then riding the train. I'm pretty sure he rode it like 2 or 3 times.
It was SUPER hot that day & these people were genius in putting a splash pad in their park. It was the perfect way to cool off after seeing all the animals.
Gavin is way more into the parts that make the water come out than playing in the water. He would just run around to each wheel or lever & play with them.
Liam just after waking up from his nap.
A family shot on our way out. Don't you just love the safari hat that Aunt Laura got Gavin? He is obsessed with this thing. Such a fun Saturday as a family!
