I just love my boys! Being a mother of these two is a lot of work, but also a LOT of fun! Here is a little about what has been going on at our house as of late.
A few weeks ago we decided to go bowling as a family. Gavin has a little toy set of bowling pins that he loves to play with so we thought it would be fun to go 'real' bowling. We were right. Gavin was in heaven with all the balls. The only problem, he went around picking them all up. That kid is super strong. I was just afraid that he would drop it & break his foot or something.
He really likes watching the balls come back up into the ball holder? or whatever it's called.
If you can't guess by his facial expression he was less then thrilled when we would try to help him bowl. He is so independent right now & as cute as it can be sometimes, it's mostly really frustrating because he really can't do everything on his own. But we can't tell him that. :)
One night when I was doing the dishes & picking up Gavin found from the Sunday paper the Toys R Us ad. And then he disappeared. I found him like this in his room. He was in such awe over all the toys! He kept asking me what certain things were. It was the cutest thing ever to watch!
Gavin still loves hats! We found this one from last winter & he wouldn't take it off. Gotta love that face!
Gavin was helping clean out the basement with Doug & they found some crepe paper. Doug thought it would be fun to turn Gavin into a blue mummy. He was on board for about 2 minutes & then was whining & trying to break free from the bondage. :)
Does anyone else out there like to go to Sams Club or Costco just for fun? Well we do & on this little trip Gavin was diggin the electronics department.
At one point we lost Gavin & couldn't find him. So after walking the isles this is where we found him. Our kid is such a tv junkie!!!
When I was putting up some of the Christmas decorations Gavin of course found & took the Santa hat! He sure does look mighty cute. Anyhow, this big guy loves to reach up & take anything he can off of the counter tops. I am still struggling at remembering to push things far back. As you can see from the picture below, the stinker swiped my soda! When I came in the room he just looked at me like, "That's right!".
Like the above incident, Gavin has now been declared as the swiper of our family. I was down stairs changing out laundry & when I came up this is what I found.
I don't know how he got that pyrex pan off the counter without making a single sound!!! When he saw me he simply said, "MMMMMM!!!!". I couldn't help but laugh. He sure does has a sweet tooth!
Now onto our little man, Liam. He is getting so big & changing every day. It's crazy to me that he is already 2 months old! Here are some pictures of the babe:
I love naked babies! Isn't he getting chubby?! We just love kissing on his cheeks & squishing those thighs.
We put on the play gym for him & he likes it okay. Still not quite to that interacting play yet, but he loves to watch the toys over head & listen to the music. And yes, that's a bib. We have yet another super spitty baby on our hands. Gavin was the same. The doctor said that as long as he is a happy spitter than he's fine & there's nothing to do about it. He goes through so many outfits & burp rags all day long! But he sure is a cutie.
And here is little Liam giving mommy smiles! It really does melt my heart every time he smiles at me. And when it's combined with jibber jabber ah man! Kill me now :)
I've always thought Liam had his own look, but after taking these pictures I've realized that no, he looks a lot like his older brother! Here's the proof:
Oh brothers!

I was so happy to read the Gavin stories! Every time you are frustrated with him, remember that I am in the same boat :) As for Liam, he is just yummy! I think he looks like big brother but there is still something all his own. I can't wait to meet him! When can we get together?
Oh, such precious boys! Loved all pics and the stories of Gavin the "swiper" had me laughing til I cried! Can't wait to see you all.
Such cute boys! I guess Gavin hasn't learned a certain lesson from watching Dora "Swiper no swiping!"
Cute little boys that are getting so big!! Gavin is hilarious, the little trouble maker! What a fun age. Hope you have a great Christmas...are you going to Utah? Did you fly with Steph this year or decide to wait for Doug this time?
