Projects & Baking

So I have had my fingers dipped into a few projects the last little while & had a lot of fun with them. I am however glad that they are all finished. Why is it that I start so many different things at once? Anyhow, here are some of my projects as of late:

Little Man's Tie

I made this tie for Gavin's 2 year photos. I am in love with it! I've modified the big guys ties for him in the past, but I really like how the all sewn from scratch with a pattern turned out even more. I will definitely be making more of these in the future.

I have always thought the car seat covers were so cute & wish that I had had one when Gavin was little, but I didn't buy one & didn't care enough to make one at the time. Well with this next little guy being born the same season as Gavin I wanted to have a few new things to use since I don't need much of anything else. I found the fabric online & fell in love with it! Seriously so stinking cute. Having cute fabric really makes projects that much more exciting if you ask me.

What do you think of the Bermuda Birds? Cute right? :)

I love how colorful it is.

I did end up getting the new diaper bad that I've had my eyes set on for a LONG time now & it came with a boring wipe case so I decided to give it a little make over. And since I was doing the wipe case, why not make a couple diaper cases too.

I love the colors & prints of the fabric. You might be thinking it looks a little girlie for a boy, but I made them match the colors of my diaper bag. MY bag! I am the one that has to carry it around so it might as well be something girlie & cute for me right? Right!

Besides sewing I have done a little baking. Once fall arrived I immediately grabbed some pumpkin & made these bad boys.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. pure pumpkin
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
1 c. chocolate chips (or 1 bag!)
pinch of pumpkin pie spice (if you have)

Cream butter and sugar, then add pumpkin and cream more. Add egg and mix well. Add sifted ingredients (if you do this... I don't!) and chocolate chips. Use scoop and drop on cookie sheet. Bake 375 for 10-15 minutes

Frosting
6 T. butter
8 t. milk (may need more)
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2-4 c. powdered sugar

Cook butter, milk and brown sugar- cool and add rest. Dab frosting on while cookies still warm.

Too die for delicious! Doug & I both could not stop eating them. So go ahead, make some, you too will gobble them up. :)

All the stuff you made is so cute! I love the 'bermuda birds' fabric, good choice! I have been wanting to alter some of Todd's old ties to make them the 'skinny' ties, where did you find a pattern for a tie?

Hey, stop being so productive will ya:) My baby is due a month later than you and I have stopped being crafty and started a new hobby of sitting on my butt watching TV every night due to lack of energy. You are making me look bad:) On a side note that ruffle cake turned out so cute, as well as all of the sewing projects.
