For Father's Day this year it was pretty chill & low key. I made Doug Sour Cream Pancakes for breakfast, we went to church, watched a movie & then had some friends over to BBQ.

I love having a picnic table & chairs for the kids to eat at. They actually all sat together & ate their food. Well for a good 5 minutes maybe. The tramp was a hit as always. The girls' hair was getting so static-ee it was so funny! I made a Chocolate Berry Trifle for dessert. It must have been a tasty one too because the bowl was scraped clean by the end of the evening. :) It was a lot of fun getting together with friends to celebrate this day of fathers.
Doug didn't get much of a gift this year since we're trying to be good & I was the one that got spoiled for Mother's Day. ;) He has been studying for the GRE & what better thing than to have snacks to munch on while hittin the books! Sadly, I didn't get a picture of them before he opened them & started snackin away. I got the idea from Our Best Bites & it was very easy to do. Doug loved it & was so interested in knowing how I got all the stuff inside without breaking the seal. :) It was pretty cute!
I'm so grateful for Doug & the love he has for being a father. He is so natural with kids & they just love him. Especially his little buddy Gavin! They really are the best of friends & it is so fun to watch them together.
