Today Doug & I celebrate our
5th Anniversary!
I can remember our wedding day like it was only yesterday.....
Beautiful blue skies, yummy pancake breakfast {that I could hardly eat}, getting pretty, I mean ready, crisp fall air, butterflies dancing in my tummy, trying to remember everything, but only thinking of Doug, the colorful trees & mountains, eating McDonalds on the way to the temple {dad didn't want me to pass out}, my mother there to help me dress & hold my hand, sitting with Doug before entering the sealing room, family & friends smiling faces, pure beauty of the temple, nervous, afraid to cry in fear of ruining my make-up, Doug's warm hands, cheeks hurting from smiling so much, our dads sweet expressions, pushing very hard to get his ring on, hugs & kisses from our loved ones, trying to look perfect in the gown, Doug's expression on his face when he saw me, walking together officially husband & wife, cheers & flashes, posing beyond posing, shivering in the shade, laughing, having to have my mother hold my dress so I could use the toilee, Doug loosening my corset so I can breath, walking around J.S.B. waiting, taking more pictures, loving the reception room, pink & orange flowers, delicious looking food, dancing with my dad, getting emotional for the first time all day, blurry people surrounding us while I was twirling, embarrassed with the garter toss, throwing the bouquet to all my ladies, Doug asking the kitchen for a box of our food, walking into bubbles, hearing hoots & hollas, getting into a white stretch hummer limosine, pulling up to the Grand America, excited & happy, Asians everywhere with their cameras flashing....A great day that I will never forget!
