I have always wanted a big portrait of the Salt Lake Temple, but just could never justify spending so much money on the ones at Deseret Book. I came across this blog where you can make your own. So I put together a workshop for some friends & family & it was a BLAST! It was also VERY, VERY HOT!!! We were in my parents garage which was great for space, but man were we sweatin' like crazy! We painted the frames, put a creme coating over the portrait, built & stapled the frame together & voila! We had our very own hand-crafted temple portraits! It really was such a fun night!

I didn't get a picture of us with our finished product, but here is a picture of what the portrait looks like.

I love this!!! I totally want to do this when we have Richard's big family reunion at Tahnksgiving, but they don't have the Mesa, AZ temple on there. Bummer. Yours turned out super cute. I've always wanted one of these too.
Yes, it was very hot that night but we sure had a good time working together. Thanks for coming up with the idea!
