So Doug & I both were fortunate enough to get spring break. Unfortunetly they were not on the same week. :( So for mine, I was planning on doing housework & getting all the laundry done. But instead I filled my week with FUN! I went to lunch with my friends one afternoon. Another morning we also went to get pedicures. So fun & very needed! My friends Stephanie & Crescent both had their babies over the weekend too! It was a nice week & very enjoyable.
Doug's spring break was the following week & he got to enjoy great weather! He worked out in the yard & cleaned out all of the gardens, trimmed the apple tree & made it look wonderful!

For the weekend, we got invited by our friends John & Angela to join them for a temple trip over-nighter & to go to a maple farm. We went to Palmyra on Friday & stayed at the Palmyra Inn. We ordered in chinese & played with the kids in the hot tub. We spent the evening taking turns attending the temple & then stayed up late talking. Saturday after breakfast we went & found a maple farm. They showed us how they make maple syrup. It was very interesting & I learned quite a bit.
The bottle on the left is what the sap looks like fresh from the tree. The one on the right is after it has boiled at 219 degrees.
Here is how they tap the trees. It takes 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup.
Just enjoying our maple cotton candy!

Looks like you all had fun! I know how it sucks not having the same break. We wanted to start a garden this year, but the fact that we probably won't be here in the summer crushed that idea.
