~One Busy Weekend~

Warning! This post contains a lot of pictures & fun! View at your own risk! :)

This past weekend was an eventful one. We got invited to go camping with a bunch of friends from the ward Friday night. We went to Sprague Brook Park about 40 minutes from where we live. There ended up being like 18 adults & 10 small children. It was a BLAST! Doug & I have never been camping together. Weird, I know! The weather was perfect too! Our friends Travis & Stephanie were kind enough to let us share their 10 man tent with them. We made tinfoil dinners which were good, but the best were the desserts! Erika & Roland made peach-raspberry & blueberry cobbler. YUMMY! As the night went on we of coarse had to make s'mores. It wouldn't be camping without those! Here are some pictures of the evening:

Stephanie getting her air mattress all ready for the night :)

Dave & Briste made steak tinfoil dinners. Needless to say they got a little over cooked. Ok, they were chared! Good thing we had yummy desserts to help fill their bellies!
One of the two cobblers Erika made.
The couple on the left are Erika & Roland Goode. They are the ones that put this wonderful trip together.
This is there little Katie that I'm holding. She was so fun to watch. She just loved the camping thing!
Dirt & all!

Well we made it through the night. Me & Steph with our little friend Tyson.

So as soon as we got home I had to hurry & get ready for my friend Megan's baby shower. It was the cutest shower! Crescent did such an amazing job hosting it. From the pink decor to the delicious food. She is an awesome party thrower. Sadly, no pictures. :( I am so excited for Megan & can't wait to see her little girl!

Later that afternoon, I checked my email & saw that I had an Evite to a Totally Awesome 80's Party that started in only a matter of hours. I started scrambling through our clothes to see if I could magically put some outfits together. I think we did ok. The party was great! There were even POP ROCKS! They had a contest for the best dressed guy & girl. The winners got SLAP bracelets or a CareBear! They played the movie Goonies which is always a classic! We had a lot of fun!

The GIRLS
The Winners! (Richard Smith & Abby McIntier)
Abby & Jeff were my favorite of the night! When they first came in I thought they did a good job. Then Abby turned around, while putting her stuff down, bent over & showed us her true outfit! I about peed my pants! She is the hilarious & at that moment I wished I could be a little more like her. :) (I hope she doesn't kill me for posting this)

I love 80's parties or parties you can dress up in and act the part...so fun! You guys looked awesome.

I can't believe you guys haven't been camping together. I love to camp! Get it all in before the kiddo's come, it isn't quite as fun camping with a baby, at least our baby.

You look so happy and I am so glad you have met so many fun people.
