mEMoRiaL DaY WeEkeNd!

Doug & I went down south to St. Geezy for the weekend. We wanted to visit & say some goodbyes to family & friends. I have to admit that we got quite a lot accomplished over the 3 day weekend. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted because we just had so much to do! Here are a few of what I did capture.

Our main reason for going down was to see Doug's mission buddy Michael Rodriguez & his wife Donna. They just moved to St. George from California so that Michael could manage the new In-N-Out Burger. So we obviously had to go try it out. :) I love that place. It is so YuMmY!

We stayed with Grandpa Shaw & his 'owner' Kirby. He is a hyper little guy. He sure keeps grandpa busy & entertained. We were glad we got to spend time with Grandpa Shaw. He is so funny & energetic! He & Kirby are a great pair!


We went to visit & take flowers to my Grandpa & Grandma Madsen and Dougs Grandma Shaw and his Uncle Bruce.

It was nice to ponder on the loving memories they have left behind.
In memory of all those we love who have gone: We are grateful for the everlasting examples you have set. We love & miss you!





You can't drive down to St. George & not go into Vegas. So that is just what we did. :) We met up with some of my friends that were down there & went to the District. It was raining, but we had a lot of fun going to the shops & eating at the Elephant Bar. I was so happy that I got to see Courtney & Matt. They live down there & I'm going to miss them. (more than I already do)(Rachelle, Jami, Heidi, Court & Me)



Later we went down to the strip. We did a little gambling, ate at Denny's, played around & simply enjoyed the company of our friends Michael, Donna, Jordan & Shawnee.

The rain really put a damper on what we could do so when we got back to St. George we played a lot of Wii Fit(which is so hard by the way) & Rock Band. We also got to see & say goodbye to my friend Kathleen Price & Dougs cousins, the Drapers. We stopped in our friend Steve's bike shop & got to visit with him for awhile. It was a great trip & had a ton of fun! I'm so happy that I got to see & spend time with my friends before we move. Thanks everyone for a great weekend!
